With the wedding so quickly approaching, I haven’t put a whole lot of thought into the honeymoon. But realizing it will be here in under 2 months has kicked me into gear a bit! We will be honeymooning in Greece the day after our wedding. Two weeks of adventure activities, nice dinners and of course some serious relaxation–I can’t wait! What I know for sure is everything I plan on packing has to be lightweight and comfortable. Temperatures which I’m sure will be in the 30’s or hotter is not the time to wear anything too fitted or layered. Bringing versatile pieces is also key. Something I can wear from the beach or dress up for dinner so I’m not overpacking. A piece I know that checks all of those boxes is definitely this floral summer maxi dress. I love the floral pattern but also how breezy it is. I wore this piece for brunch when I was in Kelowna for our bachelor(ette) weekend and paired it with sandals. But I also love how it can be worn with a cute hat and heels. Totally versatile and heat friendly.
Have you travelled to Greece? What types of clothes did you bring with you?

Ever since I can remember, I’ve had a serious love for shoes. I think as a teenager I worked solely to fund my shoe addiction. I could go on about how much I love shoes and all the reasons why but instead, I thought I’d share some exciting news about a Canadian shoe brand I absolutely adore, Poppy Barley. You know I have some serious love for all things local, so when Poppy Barley filled me in about what they were up to in Saskatchewan, I was over the moon excited to share.
If you’ve never heard of Poppy Barley, you are missing out…but not for long. Poppy Barley is an Edmonton based brand who truly believes in the importance of the craftsmanship of their products. They create their shoes for people who they know will be on their feet all day, whether at the office or while on vacation adventures. Their shoes are made to support that. As we all know, comfort is of utmost importance when it comes to footwear. Having your toes pinching throughout the day is by no means practical. Their shoes are meant to make you also feel amazing when you wear them. Because really, who doesn’t look down at their feet a few times a day when they have fun shoes on? I love that Poppy Barley not only puts so much thought into their product but care about the people who make it. Their products are made in Mexico in positive working conditions. Talk about amazing!
Now that you are hooked on how amazing this company is, I’ve got some exciting news for you local babes. Poppy Barley will be popping up in Regina and Saskatoon next week! You can find them in Saskatoon at Anthology on June 6 and in Regina at Hillberg & Berk Flagship on June 7 & 8. If you’ve always been curious about the brand, now is the perfect time to experience it first hand! For further details visit the Saskatoon link here and Regina link here.
In Saskatchewan we have very little time to wear spring looks. We pretty much hop from winter to summer in a flash. But if you are looking for a easy piece that can take you from spring to summer, this dress is it (which also comes in 3 colours). The fabric is so easy to wear and layers so perfectly. For spring, I’ve paired it with this pink corduroy jacket and current fav OTK boots. It’s also such a perfect length, in the summer it can be worn with a strappy sandals and a floppy hat.
I love this look because you can make it work for the office and it can so easily be transitioned for a dinner date. Because it’s so easy to wear, I think it’ll be perfect to bring on my honeymoon travels too.
I think you get it, I just really love this dress!
Speaking of honeymoon, Kyle and I have officially booked our flights to Greece the day after our wedding! I seriously can’t wait! Greece has been always been at the top of my bucket list. Have you been? What do you suggest doing while you are there?
